HHC Third Saturday HIKE Day November 18th

On November 18th, due to hunting activity at the Bluffs of Beaver Bend property, instead of a work day the Hoosier Hikers Council is having a hike day on the newly completed Downey Hill Trail. After over three years of work, the trail is finished and ready for hiking, so come on out and enjoy the fruits of our labor! We will have options to hike 1.5 miles, 3.5 miles, or the entire 5 miles of trail.

We’ll meet at 9:00 am at the Laura Hare Nature Preserve at Downey Hill parking lot on Valley Branch Road.

Please send an email to hoosierhikerscouncil@gmail.com if you plan to attend, so we’ll have an idea of how much food to bring for the post-hike snacks.

Here’s a link to a Google map of the meeting place:

Note that this is not the church parking lot where we met while we were working on the trail.

Please bring water to drink while you hike. HHC will provide snacks and drinks at the end of the hike.
