Trail Races
An important part of HHC’s mission is to promote the use of the very trails we build and maintain. One way we do that is to host a run/walk event where we mark trail courses of different lengths through the woods and provide aid stations along the way. This event is a great excuse to set fitness goals, and enjoy the company of others while getting outdoors running or hiking the trails of Indiana.
We host the “Run with the Foxes” mini-marathon trail run in Morgan-Monroe State Forest each fall. This event offers four different courses varying in length from 5 K to 13 miles, all over hilly, wooded terrain typical in southern Indiana. This race is also popular with walkers. If trail runs/walks are not your thing, but you’d like to still be involved in these races, consider signing up as a volunteer to provide aid station supplies for the runners! Email us or see our Volunteer page for more information on volunteering for an HHC race!
