Due to hazardous road and trail conditions, we have decided to cancel the Tecumseh Trail Marathon that was scheduled for tomorrow. This was a tough decision, but we feel it was the most responsible thing to do in order to ensure the safety of runners and volunteers.
Thank you for your patience as we develop an alternate plan for the Tecumseh Trail Marathon and Yellowwood Lake Fun Run, which were canceled on Saturday.
The Hoosier Hikers Council and DINO will produce an alternate Tecumseh Trail Marathon on Saturday, January 11, 2014. This is currently planned to be the full point-to-point course shown on the maps available on our website. However, a variety of factors could cause course changes. In addition, if winter weather makes bus and vehicle transportation unsafe, we could be forced to cancel again. If so, there will not be a second re-schedule.
All entries from the December 7 race will automatically be transferred to the January 11 date. We will develop a process for those who cannot make this alternative date, and share it with you within the next week. Please do not contact us with your status until we share the process.
Cancellation of the December 7 race was a very difficult and painful decision. We appreciate the support so many of you have expressed, and we will do our best to produce another fantastic Tecumseh Trail Marathon!
