I was wondering who W was. I’d really like to thank him for all the work he’s done! Every time I passed a cut-out on my recent TT through-hike I looked for the W and smiled every time I saw it.
Hi! Thanks for your comment! “Mr. W” is actually Phil Wilcoxson, and his wife, Bonnie. For years as a hiker, I, too, saw these “W”s and actually thought maybe they rolled over and were upside-down “M”s for Morgan-Monroe! I eventually met Phil and Bonnie, and learned the real story. They spend hundreds of hours each year, driving their car hundreds of miles with no reimbursement, to maintain the Tecumseh Trail and others at Morgan-Monroe and Yellowwood. They are very devoted, valuable, and long-term members of HHC! I will be sure they see your comment.
Help! Help! I hiked the Scarce O’ Fat and Yellowwood Lake trails yesterday in Yellowwood State Forest and the numerous downed trees across these trails are virtually impassable. I already notified the Forest office but who knows when the DNR guys will get these trees cleared. Can HHC help? These are huge ash and beach trees, and one has actually destroyed the trail on the west side of the Lake trail. I appreciate any help you folks can do!

I have also seen DS, cut into logs in Morgan-Monroe State Forest; does anyone know whose signature this would be?
Mr. W helped me when I wondered off the trail last year, about this time. Also helped everyone by clearing the trails.
