On Saturday, August 15th, we’ll have our Third Saturday work day back at the Laura Hare Nature Preserve at Downey Hill. This time we’ll start from the east end of the trail and work back toward the middle.

Due to limited parking availability at the work site, we’ll meet at the nearby Country Gospel Music Church on SR 46 and carpool to the preserve. People with four-wheel drive vehicles can transport people from the church and park inside the gate at the preserve.

It’s a large, white church on the south side of SR 46 just west of Valley Branch Road.

The preserve itself is on Valley Branch Road, about one and a half miles south of SR 46. You can find more information about the preserve at: http://sycamorelandtrust.org/downey-hill.

As usual we’ll work until about 3:00 pm, rain or shine, with a break for lunch at noon. Bring gloves and water. HHC will provide tools and lunch.
