On Saturday, April 18th, we’ll have our Third Saturday work day back at the Laura Hare Nature Preserve at Downey Hill. We made it to the wildlife pond on the last work day, so it’s all downhill from here (for a while anyway).
Due to limited parking availability at the work site, we’ll meet at the nearby Country Gospel Music Church on SR 46 and carpool to the preserve. People with four-wheel drive vehicles can transport people from the church and park inside the gate at the preserve.
We’ll meet at 9:00 am Saturday at:
Country Gospel Music Church
5181 E. St. Rd. 46
Nashville, Indiana 47448
It’s a large, white church on the south side of SR 46 just west of Mount Liberty Road.
Here’s a google map of the meeting location:
Here’s a link to the church’s website:
The preserve itself is on Valley Branch Road, about one and a half miles south of SR 46. You can find more information about the preserve at: http://sycamorelandtrust.org/downey-hill.
As usual we’ll work until about 3:00 pm, rain or shine, with a break for lunch at noon. Bring gloves and water. HHC will provide tools and lunch. It would be helpful if you can R.S.V.P. to email@example.com, even if to state your plans are uncertain. Not sure if you’ll make it until the last minute? We’ll be happy to have you join us anyway!
If the weather looks iffy, check the Recent Posts column on the HHC website and visit the HHC Facebook page for potential cancellation notices. We’ll post these notices by 7:00 am on the day of the event.
Note that May’s work day will be on the second Saturday, May 9th.
See you there!
