Welcome
to the Hoosier Hikers Council Website!
 |
Since 1995 the Hoosier Hikers Council has been Indiana's statewide hiking trail repairing and trail building association. Watch a video about the HHC by WTIU.
In 2001 we became known as the builders of the Tecumseh Trail and the Adena Trace. In 2006 we completed overhauling trails at Brown County State Park. We are now working to complete the 140-mile Knobstone Trail.
|
The 140-mile Knobstone Trail was recently thru-hiked for the first time ever.
Please join us at our monthly 3rd Saturdays work days. No preregistration or experience is necessary. Contact us to find current project locations or for more information: hikers@hoosierhikerscouncil.org or call 765/349-0204.
In our aim to serve all hikers, backpackers and trail runners we:
- Inform hikers about Indiana hiking and running
events and trails.
- Connect hikers with hikers and organizations from
all over Indiana.
- Build new hiking trails.
- Improve/adopt existing trails.
- Protect the interest of Hoosier Hikers in governmental
decisions.
