The HHC will have our 18th Annual Meeting on Saturday, March 23, 2013.  The meeting will be held at Lutheran Hills Church Camp in Brown County (see directions below).  Come and meet new friends or catch up with old friends!

Meeting Schedule:

Noon to 2:00 pm:  Four mile hike on the Tecumseh Trail.  We’ll hike on the Lutheran Hills section of the Tecumseh and on the temporary reroute on the Waycross Church Camp property.

3:00 to 4:00 pm:  Invasive Species presentation by Alex Wardwell, the new Executive Director of Southern Indiana Cooperative Invasives Management, an organization dedicated to controlling the spread of invasive species.  Trail monitors and other hikers will learn how to identify and report unwelcome plants along our trails.  You may be surprised at what’s lurking in the woods!

4:30 to 5:30 pm:  Hoosier Hikers Council reports on activities for 2012 and prospects for 2013 and beyond.

5:30 to 6:30 pm:  Pitch-in dinner.  HHC will provide main dishes and table service.  Guests, please bring drinks and a side dish or dessert.  It will be scrumptious!

6:30 to 7:30 pm:  Musical entertainment by Julane Lund, an internationally recognized violinist and vocalist based in Martinsville.  See her website for a sample of her talent: http://julanelund.com/home.cfm.

Overnight Accommodations:

The meeting will end at 8:00 pm, but you are invited to stay overnight at the camp.  Guesthouses and cabins are available for $15 to $20 per person.  There will be breakfast and a hike on Sunday.  Please contact the HHC at hoosierhikerscouncil@gmail.com or call toll-free 1 (855) 812-HIKE (4453) for more information or to make reservations.
