Location/Directions:
Morgan-Monroe State Forest is located 35 miles south of
Indianapolis. Take U.S. 37 south from I-465. Just 4 miles
south of Martinsville, watch for the State Forest/Race
sign. Follow race signs to the Cherry Lake shelter, just
before the Forest office. No forest entrance or parking
fee; park along Forest Road. Forest map

Courses:
Courses follow forest trails, and have long level stretches
with some steep hills, although ascents are tempered by
switchbacks. 5K race has only one, long hill. Trails are
"extremely well marked" according to frequent runner.
Trails groomed for safety. Four water stops, with radio
communications.

Race
Highlights: "Spring in the Hills and Hollows"
of Southern Indiana: the "highlight of my running year,"
the "most beautiful race in the lower "48" according to
some regular participants. Join the party after the race!
Fresh fruit and other treats; hot soup and/or cold drinks
depending on the weather.
REGISTRATION:
Pre-register one week prior to race to guarantee a t-shirt.
Proceeds benefit the HHC's KT extension & trail repair
efforts.

Camp in Morgan-Monroe State Forest: self-registration,
no need to reserve, primitive sites, $5/night (765/342-4026).
