Membership/Donations

Trails are forever! The Hoosier Hikers Council is committed to creating and improving foot trails in Indiana. However, your help is essential to our continued success. Therefore, we need your time and money. There are four ways you can help:

  1. You can become a member. As a member of HCC you will receive our quarterly newsletter, the Trails Advocate, containing:
    • Information about the latest victories and "challenges" to the improvement of foot trails in Indiana and nationally and other related recreational and environmental concerns.
    • HHC and Statewide hiking events listings in the HHC calendar, updated quarterly.
For a complimentary copy of the newsletter, e-mail your address to hikers@scican.net.
You can get a printable HHC Membership Application to fill out and send in. (It will open in a new window, so just hit the browser's print button, then close the window to return here.)
  2. You can join in the fun and satisfaction of trail building and maintenance. No experience needed--we will train! All ages welcome. Not required for membership; most don't have time for trail work, but it is fun. You can adopt a trail, or even help clean up our adopted highway next to the Deam Wilderness. Volunteer for trail work opportunities.
  3. Help pay for the next Knobstone Trail purchase, to complete the 140-mile Knbostone Trail, by making a donation to our Land Acquisition Fund. Donations are solicited to help acquire land to complete the Knobstone Trail extension. Donations are used exclusively for land purchases, not administrative expenses. The Hoosier Hikers Council is an incorporated 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization; donations to it are fully tax exempt. You can get a printable HHC Membership and Land Donation Form to fill out and send in. (It will open in a new window, so just hit the browser's print button, then close the window to return here.)
  4. You can buy an HHC t-shirt or trail badge. Check out our Items for Sale.
